Charis serves both as the yougest member of the advisory board and as the program and media coordinator at Quiet Pastures at Green Oak. A graduate of Cedarville University with a deep love for horses and the gospel, she believes her involvement—and employment—with the ministry can only have been a God thing!
From a young age, Charis knew she wanted to use her passion for horses as a way to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. But her dream seemed impossible—until she met Amanda. She then served as an unofficial "intern" at the barn during the summer of 2024 and then as an official intern in the summer of 2025. Following her college graduation in 2026, God opened the door for the ministry to hire her to work in a part-time program and media coordinator role. She loves serving the ministry by handling scheduling and administrative tasks and managing the social media—as well as working with guests at the barn and riding with Amanda, of course!
Charis is married to her husband Johnny, and they live in Cedarville, Ohio. When she is not working or in the saddle, she can be found taking long walks outdoors or curled up with a steaming cup of coffee and a good book.
